Well, I found a workaround.. it was to remove the postmaster service in rc.3. It seems that "postalias aliases" or something will not finish, it just hangs forever. Thats why I couldn't get to the console. It also hangs if run manually as root with sysadmin rights. The reason for thinking it is a selinux problem is because we have not had this problem with the exact same install and post-install script on ~15 other computers not running selinux. I have no hard evidence. -HK
