And remember that tools like python-fedora are to an extent a special
case: F14's python-fedora doesn't only have to be able to build F14
packages, we want people using F14 to be able to work on F15, F16 and
Rawhide. So if we want to make adventurous changes to the package
building system and tools we kind of have to backport those changes even
to 'very stable' releases.
