Hello, I learned that for new Fedora releases the initrd file, used by preupgrade, will contain *both* the initrd for the kernel as well as the install image. (previously also called stage2?) I think that this takes away upgrade flexibility. I did not find an explanation that proves my explanation wrong. Please have a look at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742677 for the reasons to bother you here. Also, while you are at it, please have a look at bz entries like https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=500004 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=504826 as these also make upgrading via the nicest option impossible. As I explain in these entries I do think it is not proper to think of RAID as a 'special setup' in these times. Also I cannot find any info on what is perhaps happening behind the scenes w.r.t. this issue, so please enlighten us on how Fedora intends to fix the RAID upgrade situation. Thanks.
