Yep! It does :D

[root@ankur lib]# ls
libopennl.so.3.4.1
[root@ankur lib]# readelf -d libopennl.so.3.4.1 | egrep -i soname
 0x0000000e (SONAME)                     Library soname:
[libopennl.so.3]
