What i want seem "simple" to me.
I want a flag per Program :
Extra_flag : true|false
The default is set by RedHat/Fedora.
No "real" menu editing.
If Extra_flag is set to "true", the program is placed in an extra menu.
The extra menu can be like the one RH8.0 provided.
Extra menu can also be an entry at the top of the Gnome menu.
Exemple for system-config-bind and gucharmap (in French here).
system-config-bind : Extra_flag = false
gucharmap : Extra_flag = false

- accessoires
- Calculatrice
- Table de caractÃres (gucharmap)
- paramÃtres systÃme
- paramÃtres de serveur

The extra_flag can be set by a contextual menu :
- "move to extra menu"
- "move to main menu"
