Haha only-serious but in my (probably outdated dead-tree :) book:

Small loss of power: Enough to get the smoothing caps draining and kick up some
wobble on the rails (might make your DRAMs go nuts). Aka a brownout.

Large loss of power: Fetch the candles! (a blackout!).
