We already accepted it as a blocker, only ajax has specifically proposed
that it's not, and there's certainly no consensus that it isn't yet. The
new information we have here is that although this is a regression from
F13 / 2.6.33, it's in functionality that was essentially working by
accident prior to 2.6.34, and the code involved has changed completely
since. So the fix may not be as simple / non-invasive as would usually
be the case for a simple regression. I would like to see results of
testing one of the reporters currently has planned, to see if a fairly
simple patch can address this.
