Hi,

This new SAPI is now part of official PHP (since 5.3.3)

Latest rawhide build enable the new php-fpm subpackage.

PHP-FPM (FastCGI Process Manager) is an alternative PHP FastCGI
implementation with some additional features useful for sites of
	any size, especially busier sites.

I have already test this build against nginx and lighttpd web servers

I'm now working on trying it with apache (but it will probably requires
mod_proxy_fcgi which will be part of httpd 2.4)

Probably a lot of work still needed, especially Selinux stuff.

Any comments and feedbacks are welcome.
(especially from nginx and lighttpd expert)

Remi.

P.S. you can also try build available in my backports repo,
which are available for fedora <= 14.
