Let's try:

$rm -rf igraph

$fedpkg clone igraph

$  git merge -s recursive -X theirs master
CONFLICT (rename/delete): Rename .cvsignore->.gitignore in HEAD and deleted 
in master
Automatic merge failed; fix conflicts and then commit the result.
