Somebody suggested Xorg -configure but the main point is that mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf{,.orig} should work (somehow) as well, at least on the level that you can run your DE's graphical tool. If it doesn't, then it has been a legitimate bug at least since Fedora Core 6. And I am not getting many of these lately.
