That file contains all my account info. Also, I've just discovered 
empathy-debugger, which is full of messages like this:

publish_to_all_am_prepared_cb: Failed to prepare account manager: Failed 
to execute program /usr/libexec/mission-control-5: Success

So the question is, what might have killed mission control?
