Why does pari require tetex-dvi?

I am wondering why an upgrade to F13 suddenly plonked a massive texlive hairball on my disk.

Various Perl crypto modules have a dependency on perl-Math-Pari, which requires pari. Ok.

# rpm -q -l pari
/usr/lib64/libpari-gmp.so.2
/usr/lib64/libpari-gmp.so.2.3.4
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/AUTHORS
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/CHANGES
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/CHANGES-2.2
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/COMPAT
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/COPYING
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/NEW
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/README
/usr/share/doc/pari-2.3.4/pari.cfg

Ok. Just a pair of .so-s. Seems fairly straightforward.

# rpm -q --requires pari

…

tetex-xdvi

This dependency brings in xdvik, and a massive amount of tetex-related stuff cascades down.

I do not understand this. I don't see anything in pari that requires tetex stuff.
