Thanks. Did not help. Still freezes. Tried twice. First time got as far as the screen allowing one to enter ip address before it froze. Second time the very first install screen only partially drew and the system was frozen.
Each attempt follows a shutdown then power on.
System runs redhat 9 fine.

The mouse/keyboard/window freezes within the first couple of install setup screens. The furthest I got was entering in my ip address. The earliest freeze occurred when the mouse (as a pointer, after its an 'X') first appears.
Any hints as to whats up?
