The Unisys patent did. AFAIK IBM patents covering the GIF format are still valid for a few years.
I was wondering about this as well. By adding GIF back into GD, are the GD folks just assuming that IBM won't go after their GIF patent(s) because of their pro-OSS actions of late? Or did IBM say something publicly that hasn't made its way around the net yet?
