Fedora 11 Anaconda has been troublesome for many people due to the storage layer rewrite. It would have been nice to avoid that issues in the first place but since we are never going to be perfect, the next best thing would be to push Anaconda updates into the repository so that people do images with the updates rolled in can get it without going through Yet Another Place. Usually whenever I do a remix, one of the first questions I get is from people who are using my kickstart file to do something slightly different (change the package set, configuration et all). There is a large number of people who would benefit from this. Either Anaconda team has to do this by itself or if the workload is high (which I assume it is), give other people commit access to push it into the official repository as updates. Given that someone has volunteered to do the work, our job would be to enable that to happen instead of being a roadblock. The need now is more than ever thanks to the growing success of the push from the Fedora Project for spins and remixes.
