Yes. If I get the desire to build a new library, or something, I always want to just find the URL to the upstream's source control repo, then check out whatever I find in there, and run with it. I'm confident that I will never have any problems building it, and it won't have any issues.
This is the best and the most reliable mechanism of downloading stable code. <sarcasm>
