But it does not help in my case.
Using input method icons, however, solves your case and mine.
Note that you might be able to use flag as icon in your input method,
providing no other people develop other input methods in your country
and challenge you.

And how about multilingual countries such as India and Switzerland?
What language should be associate their flags?

In order to know which input method is activated, in your setting, I
have to either:
1. Hover the mouse to the flag icon and see the tooltip
2. Type a few key and find out I am at wrong input method.

Both ways are not as convenient as using an input method icons.
