I wonder what will happen in the long run if we continue to remove
everything that anyone on the planet can consider "inappropriate".

If we follow your argument we will do it to be an appealing
distribution for everybody. But this is a contradiction because we
will have less applications and less features than other distributions
thus we will be very less appealing.

Just my 2c.
