I disagree. IMHO hiding closed bugs by default is the most annoying
bug/misfeature of Bugzilla and a few other bug trackers. It leads to people
filing duplicates because they don't see that their issue already got fixed
(they just don't have the fix yet for whatever reason), was found not to be
a valid bug or was found to be an issue elsewhere (upstream/downstream/in
third-party software/wherever).
Showing recently (think of "last 3-6 months" or maybe even "for currently
maintained distro versions") closed bugs might indeed help avoiding
gazillion dupes on some occasions but having to stare at all the closed
bugs since Fedora Core 1 era by default serves little purpose IMO.
