And no, using -m32 to build i386 stuff and call it "x86_64" is not "supporting" x86_64. ;-) And common sense dictates that such bugs should only be closed if they're either fixed or there are strong technical reasons why they can't ever be fixed (e.g. WINE which needs to be 32-bit to run 32-bit executables).
