Obsoleting X11 input drivers

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

FYI, I have marked the following X input drivers as obsolete:

xorg-x11-drv-calcomp
xorg-x11-drv-citron
xorg-x11-drv-dmc
xorg-x11-drv-digitaledge
xorg-x11-drv-dynapro
xorg-x11-drv-jamstudio
xorg-x11-drv-magellan
xorg-x11-drv-palmax
xorg-x11-drv-spaceorb
xorg-x11-drv-summa
xorg-x11-drv-tek4957
xorg-x11-drv-ur98

These drivers are obsolete because
- no bugs other than build issues are in the bugzilla.
- no fixes were done upstream since the import into the X.Org repositories
except automated (and untested) build fixes.
- they have been removed from the X.Org build scripts for a while.
- upstream is now deactivated and configure purposely fails when trying to
build. No more releases are expected.

If you need one of these drivers in Fedora and your device is not covered
through the kernel's event interface (and thus the X11 evdev driver), please
contact me.
Warning: you will have to help reviving and maintaining the upstream driver
(at least through testing).

Cheers,
  Peter
