If you want to promote KDE, help the KDE SIG instead of making bad assumptions about programs you haven't used. All of the PackageKit functionality can be exposed in any frontend and GNOME frontend actually does support more options currently simply because it is developed in sync with PackageKit. Some of the options might be exposed via gconf instead of in the GUI. More options doesn't necessarily lead to a more useful program either.
