Presumably they have pruned the udev rules and possibly custom tailored
them to this specific hardware. It also looks like rc gets kicked off at
the same time as udev. Lots of things seem to have been parallelized. So
basically hardware (BIOS) has been optimized to boot quickly and so has
the OS.
