Hello,
Does anybody use skype in F10-x86_64?  Does it work with F10?
I cannot get any sound with Skype for Linux. What's happening?
I would like to have sound and image on it.
Thanks,
Lucélio.
I have not tried F10 yet but Ive installed on a bunch of x86_64 machines and there is a lot of fiddling involved with ALSA.
First check (with ALSA) that you can record from mic and playback (with arecord/aplay). Try recording a .wav file, etc. Ive found that most of the time the mute options and levels are wrong, try opening gnome-volume-control and look at capture settings. Also, skype tries to readjust mic levels in ALSA and this almost never works right, so you may want to go into skype config and disable that too.
