Yes, on big displays, with very few windows open.

Or for people who don't realize you can open _exactly_ two windows for this in browser mode whenever you need them...

When observing myself: First browsing, then "opening" is the
overwhelming use-case. Drag and Drop is much seldom use-case.

This isn't an either/or issue. If you want 2 windows to drag/drop in browser mode, just open 2 windows. Works the same across Windows/Mac/KDE/Gnome.

If you have a decent multitasking OS and window system that lets you open as many instances as you want of whatever you want, why do people still think that apps need to deal with that stuff themselves?
