Besides, I thought all Fedora maintainers were geniuses and my
bureaucracy just gets in the way?
I'm with you and jef on this one. There is no way (other than security
updates and possibly critical bugfixes - do we need a flag for this?)
that getting an update out the door immediately is more important that
preserving the stability of the release.
