So many possibilities: Use keepcache=1 in your yum.conf, write a yum plugin that keeps at least X old revisions of your rpms, use a proxy that stores all rpms your clients ever downloaded (does InstantMirror do this?), fetch the rpm from koji or cvs co the package you want from cvs and run "make local".
