That's what we do for the OLPC School Server. NM is a good fit for the XO laptop, but not so much for the server. All you need to do is notinclude NM in your spin, and make sure the chkconfig is told that the network service should be on. Works a charm. If/when NM is apt for server roles, I may reconsider, but you should see the crazy network scripts I use - unless NM is as scriptable as the oldstyle network scripts, I can't use it here. In related new, I would really appreciate a few howtos on how to get replace the desktop-oriented daemons with the old tools. For example, right now there's console-kit-daemon running on my test School Server, complaining about something. cheers, m -- martin.langhoff@xxxxxxxxx martin@xxxxxxxxxx -- School Server Architect - ask interesting questions - don't get distracted with shiny stuff - working code first - http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:Martinlanghoff -- fedora-devel-list mailing list fedora-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-devel-list
