You might try to get it into JPackage (http://www.jpackage.org/). This way it stands a good chance to get into Fedora and/or Mandrake sooner or later, and in the meantime you'll get all the java infrastructure that has not yet been freed enough to allow direct Fedora inclusion. As you may have noticed looking at the Fedora and JPackage package lists, Redhat has decided to tap into JPackage project recently, so FC3 compat should be pretty good.
