That is exactly the purpose of test releases. If NVidia wants their driver to work on Fedora Core 2, they can be working on it now with the FC2 test releases. Test releases are not intended for production use, so people shouldn't be expecting to install them and have them work just like the FC1 release. If they want to see where the kernel is going, they should follow the linux-kernel list.
