Is there any chance fedora core 2/3 could include gnome-volume-manager (from gnome-cvs - part of RML's desktop utopia project)? It's a very simple HAL/DBUS-based program, in C, that automounts/configures/modifies fstab etc for camera's, removable storage & cd/dvd media. it needs a recent version of dbus (i think fc2 has it), a pretty up to date HAL (not sure about this - i have a custom rpm installed), and needs udev (mine's mounted at /udev). Solves all of the problems people were complaining about with automount of usb drives. I'm not sure how it works with selinux, so that might be something to look into. -- Matt Jones
