This isn't a new change, it's a Change that I've deferred based on
running out of time to finish it. The first half of that change was
the livesys-scripts stuff which has been in use for several Fedora
releases. There's still some work on automatic persistence to be done,
and that's what's holding up the completion of this change.

You're probably thinking of the other live media change to switch to
EROFS: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/EROFSforLiveMedia

That one is new and should be largely transparent. It will apply to
Fedora Workstation once
https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/1419 is merged.
