In Fedora 26 clean installed, I run into sites using H.264 content that produces a "no video with supported format and MIME type found" in Firefox as preinstalled; and also Chromium from Fedora repo. Is this page still valid? https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/OpenH264 Even doing everything on that page, I'm still running into the following confusion: 1. about:support in Firefox Compositing Basic Hardware H264 Decoding No; Failed to create H264 decoder Decision Log HW_COMPOSITING blocked by default: Acceleration blocked by platform OPENGL_COMPOSITING unavailable by default: Hardware compositing is disabled 2. Numerous examples of site that won't play content http://www.html5videoplayer.net/html5video/mp4-h-264-video-test/ http://abcnews.go.com/US/video/h264-test-16x9-medium-10415218 3. http://html5test.com/index.html This says H.264 is not supported Are there bugs I should file? This is all pretty confusing. -- Chris Murphy _______________________________________________ desktop mailing list -- desktop@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to desktop-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
