Duplicated mail here. I'm just a user, but it sounds like a very good idea. Budgie desktop is doing a very good job using GNOME technologies keeping things simple. It is now officially offers from the Solus project through OBS, but it would be good to have in the official repositories of Fedora and perhaps in the future as Spin.
