Basically, what I want to know is, is there any interest in improving gnome's sound theme support and, if so, how do i go about it? Creating pages on the wiki, talking to gnome developers to improve gnome's code, getting more sounds to go into the freedesktop sound theme, etc? One thing I have noticed is that the hardware added and remove sounds only play for removable devices like usb flash drives and external hard drives. Personally, and this is just me, it would be nice if it played for all newly plugged in devices, but only if the linux kernel successfully recognizes the device. Thoughts?
