partition, adds an EFI boot option and then reboots into a live instance
loopback mounted from the Windows partition? To be fair, this is
problematic from the point of view of actually carrying out an install -
we can't really resize the partition we're running the OS from...
Last time I checked, Windows allows for live re-size of NTFS partitions, even if they are the system drive.
Could the app possibly re-size while Windows is still running, and THEN reboot into the installer?

This idea might be interesting, but I can see many things that can go wrong with it, so I think we should stick to USB media for now.
