Is there some tool like the fancy systemd analyze Lennart wrote that exist in the wild for Gnome sessions? It would be a bit interesting to see what causes such a long log into Gnome desktop from gdm time and I think it safe to say that the expectation of the time it takes for you to log in is less than it takes for you to boot up into gdm. ( which can be pretty fast with tweaked systemd ) The ones of you that are familiar with gnome-session-properties and do blog might want to blog about what each item does and what the side effects are from disabling it of course some of those are bleeding obvious what they are for others are vague to say the least.
