Didn't know what GL Desktop is, so I clicked it. I was already using compiz, with preferences set in Compiz Settings Manager (ccsm). On start, GL Desktop says An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for gnome-compiz-preferences. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly. Seems it has a subset of Compiz Settings Manager options. Why does GL Desktop still need to be kept?
