A quick update on the size of the desktop spin: I have written a patch to split libgweather into a bazillion langpacks, you can see it here: http://people.redhat.com/mclasen/split-libgweather.patch http://people.redhat.com/mclasen/comps-libgweather.patch I am not entirely happy with this approach, but it certainly solves the size problem. An x86_64 iso that I build with that reduced libgweather came at 692M.
