Ask not what we gain but what we lose: confused users, and one less screen in the install since most people just click right through it.

And we lose all of us who install from livecd and WANT lvm.


Which to be fair is probably a small percentage of users. But isn't one of the selling points of lvm that people can tweak their lvm partitions after the fact? Everyone that knows what it is and _WANTS_ to tweak it ought to be able to do this.
