Thanks for the tip. Just goes to show how much i need to know about these things :") ... anyways i set my option to use it as "Meta is mapped to win keys" and that did the trick for me.. now i can use it as a functional key and my amarok binding don't get messed up either.

The combination keys work with alt, shift and control, it would be great if it
could work with the windows key too :-)

    

You probably need to use the Keyboard preferences application.  In my
case, I've set the Alt/Win key behaviour option to "Hyper is mapped to
the Win-keys" and I can use the Win key in combination with a number to
go to different virtual desktops.
