Sure. However, you probably want to be on the main fedora list, not the
specific fedora-desktop one -- this is more a development-oriented list.
And, I don't think you really want FC1 -- that's quite old and won't be
maintained even by Fedora Legacy for much longer. The current release is
Fedora Core 3, and Fedora Core 4 will be out soon.
