This depends on your samba configuration.

Basically you need a samba user with correct permissions to access the share.
OR
Set up a guest user

Look at swat for adding SAMBA users.

Subject: Samba

Hello,

Looking for help with Samba. I can see the shares on the Fedora machine from my windows machine. It asks for a user name and pw and does not allow me to access it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
