redhat-config-network has IPSEC VPN tools built in, though I can't get it to work...

Well, in my case it was PPTP ( MS Server).. This is a very necessary task to introduce Linux as a Desktop in our environment.

Although I haven't tried it, but POPTOP is a PPTP VPN server for *nix

To my knowledge RedHat Enterprise doesn't ship/support any VPN servers in its distro.

IMHO, this is something that needs to be seriously considered, as many folk want access to files outside the office.

Hello list members.

I'm new to this list and searched the archives but found nothing of discussions about a VPN client tool.
What would you be using as the backend?
