Hello! I'm just jumping into the conversation as someone who tried to get into contributing initially through Fedora badges (when they were on "Trac", maybe, as a platform) and then moved to Pagure (or at least that was my understanding at the time). Is the primary objective with a communication platform change for existing users or for generating new ones? I'm happy to walk through my experience of trying to contribute (and eventually, partially, succeeding). I did a walk-through of that process for a ticket later on (see Sozi here: https://little.kylerconway.com/post/returning-to-sozi/). In the most general sense, here are my thoughts on new contributors: 1. There is not a clear pathway on how to begin contributing officially. 2. Even once you're "signed up" it was difficult to find any guidance on "how to" start -- for example, taking a ticket, signing up for what accounts, etc. (thanks to Máirín for helping to walk me through). 3. It would be useful to clearly set feedback timeline expectations upfront (I erroneously assumed I'd have feedback within a couple days, but that wasn't always the case. Had I known that upfront it would have made it easier to plan for). 4. For what it's worth, HyperKitty and Pagure have been the most intuitive systems I've used in the ecosystem (writing this from HyperKitty). This may be personal preference, but after seeing so many things in multiple locations, this makes the most sense to me. And for existing contributors: I'm even less involved here, so this will be less useful. One thing I can say is that I've felt my ability to contribute or discuss more meaningfully (particularly in feedback and processing of badges/tickets) has been hampered by my inability to attend the meetings (I'm working during those hours). I'm not sure what the solution might be there, but the inability to be communicating in real time seems to hamper further contribution at that level. At any rate, I appreciate all of what you do and thank you for doing it! It's been a privilege and an honor to contribute in the small ways I have been able to and I sincerely hope to continue contributing more.
