Probably you could shrunk the yellow spaces and get rid of the red one, that should give you a more easy 'wallpaper sized' image.

The suggested inspiration image -- https://68.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0pruykEM51rryvfyo1_500.jpg -- is a much different ratio than the resulting wallpaper will be. I'm wondering if that causes problems for this? Probably not if handled correctly.
