Matt GIMP is not the best option for digital painting, you can do it with it but its not so well, there was/is a project called GPS(GIMP Paint Studio) for it, which adjusted the GUI for it but today the developer is part of Krita team, after he worked for mypaint. I think this would work best if you have an audience or a use-case in
mind. Gimp is such a big, full-featured program that just writing about
it in general is hard. Maybe "Gimp for photo-retouching" or "Gimp for
digital painting"... or maybe even something more specific. (It could
even be a series of articles, then.)
