I also made a Gimp 2.7 repo for Fedora 14 release (http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/luya/gimp/) The ability to group layer on this version caused me to use daily. I personally do not care about single mode, only the tabbing of images is worth. Hopefully Gimp team will implement a non-destructive made with the so called adjustment layers and native support of CMYK for printing process (Krita does a better job) although Separate plugins sorta helps.
