One of the suggestions for visualizing the theme for Laughlin was, "Something that can illustrate the emergence concept, like multiple objects combined to create a new one (more complex). " The work of Robert Laughlin, who "was awarded the 1998 Nobel Prize in physics for his explanation of the fractional quantum Hall effect. Moreover he argues for emergence which is a concept that says 'The whole is more than the sum of its parts.' Fedora is more than the sum of its software." Visually I think this concept could make a nice theme. It could be cool to use objects or phenomena from nature to illustrate it. e.g., many drops of water making a stream or whatnot. Do you have any ideas on how we might visualize this? BTW Tatica put together some mockups around a atomic theme: http://tatica.fedorapeople.org/Themes/F14/ I think the backdrop of atomos.svg is nice - with a bit of tweaking it could make a nice abstract pattern. ~m _______________________________________________ design-team mailing list design-team@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/design-team
