Rather than require anyone to pull a late night, why don't we simply hit the rel-eng list for an up-front exception to the freeze? It should be easy to argue that this change has a negligible impact on pre-Beta testing. There could be, however, an impact as to whether the package would make it into the Beta after a certain date, but we probably have a couple of days leeway. -- Paul W.
